3 months down!

 

It has officially been 3 months since my husband deployed. It has been flying by quicker than I thought. I guess that is because I have been keeping myself as busy as possible. Wanna know what kind of exciting things I've been up to? That is unfortunate, because it's not really that exciting. I can say for the first time in my college career, I have a 4.0! That may not be too exciting to any of you reading this, but for me, it is the bees knees. I guess when you are doing your class work sober it makes a difference. Not that I ever went to class intoxicated back in the day...

Besides homework, I'm still working in a little place sometimes known as hell. It is really good motivation for doing school work. I've also been going to a friend of mines classroom twice a week. I sit with several different little ones and listen to them read. It's a lot of fun for me and it lets the little kiddos practice their reading. It's also helped me to get back into a better sleeping habit.

Even though time is going by quicker now, I still miss my husband like crazy. It is nice when we get to facetime, but sometimes the connection is so bad I'd rather just talk to him on the phone. He says he misses me, but I secretly think he is loving the fact that he can grow a creepy ass mustache and there is nothing I can do about it. It must be the cool thing to do when you are stuck in another country without your wife. When he sends me group pictures of him and the other guys he works with, I can't help to think it is some kind of pedophile line up.  Unless you're 50+ years old and plan on being a B-list actor on lifetime, this is not a good look.

Stella has been missing her dad a lot lately so I decided she needed a day to herself at the spa. I even let them paint her nails. She kept begging me to let her get some glittery pinkness on those paws, and wellllll......I just couldn't say no!
